Happy Birthday Sage E. Page!!!

This is my portrait of Sage on her favorite chair. Tomorrow I’m making her special food and buying her a toy. And I “wrote” a birthday song for her. She turns 3 tomorrow. Eric never did get out the guitar and learn to play it. But anyway, here’s my edit of Jack Johnson‘s Do You Remember?

Sage’s Birthday Song A LA Jack Johnson

Do you remember
When we first met
I sure do
It was some time
In middle November
You were funny about it
Kissed me on my nose
I was so crazy about you
I didn’t mind
So I was late for class
I locked you in your crate
It wasn’t hard to find
It took up all the room
Guess that I was afraid
That if you ran around
You might just eat up
All the papers real soon
Well we were
crazy about you then
And now the craziest thing of all
Almost 3 years have gone by
And you’re still mine
We’re locked in time
Let’s rewind

Do you remember
When we first moved in together
All your toys took up the living room
You’d play the bucking bronco
We called you “Snoop Dogg”
You’d nap around the house
Now you still always are
We’d play run and chase
Out in a park we found
We felt so far away
Though we were still in town
I remember watching
All those trees get chopped down
I took a picture that
I don’t like to look at
Well all these times
They come and go
And alone don’t seem so long
Almost 3 years have gone by
We can’t rewind
We’re locked in time
But your still mine

Do you remember?

    Hi Ma

Thank you for the birthday wishes. Eric and I both have Tuesdays off so Sage had us all to herself all day. I think she wants more pancakes. Let me know how Chin’s first day of class went.

    love ya,
    Karen
