A couple days into our cottage stay, we drove from Cape Chin to Tobermory and took a ferry to Flowerpot Island, part of Fathom Five National Marine Park.

Cabin in Arkansas

For three days just before the New Year, we stayed with Marie and Jack at this cabin near the Buffalo River for a quiet retreat.

We stayed in the ‘President’s Cabin’ overlooking a valley.

Love turtles and pumpkin beer

(Yesterday Tuesday). The day started sunny, but a morning walk through pretty hills ended with gunfire. Hunting season / target practice (?) The echoing of bullets did not disturb the love turtles, however; it was my intrusive photography that made them shy. After a delicious lunch (pizza not turtles), E. fled to Denver with pretty much only his computer and climbing shoes. Silly boy left his jacket and new white tshirts in the car.
