Pictures of the trip north to Kangwon province, not to mention pictures of the last week of December, are waiting to be posted. In fact they’re yipping at me, but I need time. I’m writing an application essay these days and all 300 words have to be perfect. Plus, I have research to do for this career change I’m attempting. Anyway, stay tuned for more average photos to be posted shortly.

Rain on Monday
Rain on Monday in November means I stay in the house and do school work on the living room floor. Today, I drank cheap tea with my favourite fig bread for breakfast and in the afternoon I wrestled Sage. When the light in the living room started to fade I took this picture, and once the light was gone I tinted it purple. After all this we went out for spicy soup and a rice dish. It wasn’t a busy day.
Dinner at home
Sadly, I feel like it’s worth writing about that we had dinner at home for once. I cooked white rice from the organic shop, but the rest of the stuff is from a regular supermarket. It ended up pretty: black beans, red fish stuff, brown quail eggs, green sesame leaves and then the shiny seaweed paper. And yellow soup from a packet. Beautiful instant dinner sitting on the floor.
Themeless Profile Photo Contest profile photo number one
Eric’s rock climbing / drinkfest website is having a profile photo contest. I’m not even eligible to win, and the prize is a plastic pitcherful of crappy beer, yet here I am wasting time taking photos of myself. I am avoiding the grading of 39 composition #5s for my ESL writing class. Anyway, here’s my first effort. I like it because it’s messy and because it’s a reflection photo .
Sage’s firsts
Holiday
It’s Chuseok holiday and I’m not having fun yet. I’ve been trying to do work and I can hardly get anything accomplished. Our new foster dog keeps me up at night so I’m sleep deprived. We took one really nice trip to a rock by a river for climbing and picnicking. That was awesome. Should we test the traffic again and try to travel tomorrow? What a wicked risk. During Chuseok holiday if you pick the wrong travel time a simple 1-hour journey could end up six times longer. Should I grade some compositions or write some midterm tests? Hm.
Let’s let Sage decide. Give her another beer!
September 26th is Sage’s birthday
Happy Birthday Sage E. Page!!!
This is my portrait of Sage on her favorite chair. Tomorrow I’m making her special food and buying her a toy. And I “wrote” a birthday song for her. She turns 3 tomorrow. Eric never did get out the guitar and learn to play it. But anyway, here’s my edit of Jack Johnson‘s Do You Remember?
A recruitment video for Carl
Hi Carl.
We miss you. We know you’ve living, potentially, the longest holiday you’ll ever have and that you want to travel. We want you to travel. Asia is far, but Asia is welcoming you. Here is a video to introduce you to our apartment where you will be made welcome immediately upon your arrival. It’s a bit messy today. Don’t fear the mess. We’ll clean up before you get here.

Remembering good fun with Chinny. We miss you. Here you are trying to avoid being photographed with butterfly clips in your eyebrows.
