One day on the water

I missed Opening Day because I couldn’t move my legs after 4 days of hiking in the woods. After a full weekend of A535, hot baths, ibuprofen, and extra sleep (also waiting for the sun to come out), I made it out for a half day by the west shore of Beausoleil.

Item No. 13: Beausoleil

We didn’t pay admission or anything, but I waded over to this little island and hopped around the rocks and sumac for a while (carefully avoiding the poison ivy, thank you). It is one of two “Gin Islands” swimming distance west of Beausoleil and also part of Georgian Bay Islands National Park. My new favourite place on Earth.
